Dr. Clarisa Kreuger
Dr. Krueger is our current staff veterinarian that joined SNC in 2021. Originally from Texas and receiving her doctorate from Texas A&M University she pursued further training and board certification in large animal Surgery from Louisiana State University and large animal Emergency and Critical Care at Colorado State University. Although her intentions were to move back to Texas as a large animal surgeon, Dr. Krueger met her future husband during her residency in Louisiana and helped take over a 4 generations-old family farm. Though all her garnered expertise is for large animals primarily, she desired to take a step back from the intense rigors of a never-ending supply of emergencies and after-hours calls and wanted to provide more for and give back to the communities of Southern Louisiana. Dr. Krueger currently enjoys running her regenerative ag-based farm in Zachary/Baker and still sees large animal cases outside of her regular case load here at SNC and offers surgical services for colleagues in other Parishes upon request. When she isn’t working here at SNC, farming, working livestock, or learning to be an apiarist she enjoys showing her French bulldogs Chicory, Basil and Poppie.
